Speaking Engagements
Black is Tech Conference 2021
Content Design, the art of crafting content that guides a user through an experience, is an essential function of Product Design. With words as the center of any user experience, creating content informed by strategy, context, and a command of language is pivotal. The inherently colonized grammatical constraints of American English often require POC content designers to advocate for the validity of languages outside of the majority culture in product design and user experiences. This session reviews the importance of content design in building experiences that resonate with users by crafting authentic and inclusive brand voices for the culture, by the culture.
